Migration Stories - From Kampala to Leicester

 Length: 8 minutes 15 seconds

From 2010 to 2012 the Migration Stories project recorded stories of moving into the East Midlands from within the UK and further afield. Having received funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Renaissance East Midlands and Igniting Ambition, the project worked with people from a wide variety of groups and communities who have moved into the East Midlands since the end of the Second World War. These may be people who have moved to find jobs or education, or who are fleeing persecution or war, or who have decided to make the East Midlands a place for retirement.

From Kampala to Leicester was recorded at the Belgrave Neighbourhood Centre, Leicester, in 2012 as part of the Migration Stories and From Kampala to Leicester projects.
